When it is quiet all I hear is crying… but we are happy.

The appraiser came today to inspect the house and underwriting has sent out our paperwork. Only two more weeks until we plan to close on the house! We are so happy and are starting a list of things we want to do once the house is ours, things like painting the nursery and all that fun stuff.
Things are going well for us and we are happy but run down at the same time. It’s crazy cold here like it just went from summer to winter in just a few days time. We are *knock on wood* still doing well heath wise and haven’t gotten sick thanks to the crazy weather.
Everly and I have even been out in the cold at marching band practice this week and we are still doing okay. Our doctor recommended we take vitamin D since it is cold and flu season. Also, because we are skipping the H1N1 and regular flu shots.
Everly is in super whiny and clingy mode today. Most of the time she’s whimpering or full on screaming. What’s better is in rare the few moments of silence (when she dozes off for a few minutes here and there) her screaming still rings in my ears. Now I am hearing things!
She didn’t sleep well this morning and isn’t napping much today. She’s still teething and we are still trying just about every remedy in the book to help her. Here is the kicker…
I swear she is getting a molar! I know, only the four front teeth surface first… My mom has told me time and time again and she was a dental professional so I know she knows teeth. I am still convinced of the molar though because I can feel it back there.
I’ve still been unable to see it because E just goes crazy with her tongue when ever I try but I swear… I feel a tooth that’s broken the surface back there! I am gonna keep trying to confirm this.
In the mean time here is a cute video of Everly trying to get her toys in her mouth. She shimmied herself under the hanging toys and was dead set on chewing them. LOL.
Just today Everly grabbed at her teething ring with BOTH hands! She was unintentionally grabbing stuff and has started learning to shake her rattle when we’ve managed to get it in her hand but today she grabbed for something intentionally and then brought it to her mouth.
I got it on video too, I am just working on shrinking the file down right now. If you’d like to have email notifications of new updates like the video of Everly I am working on… use the form below.

Taylor got her bicuspids in first. She looked like a little vampire with her 2 little pointy teeth.
Good luck on getting through the teething stage. Just remember, this stage also passes. And there will be many more good days than bad days.
And YAY on the house being your (and the banks) in just a couple of weeks

Emily is teething too and has been for a few weeks. She has gone from a lovely and happy baby to a screaming banshee. I’ve found that breastfeeding her a lot helps because she settles and sleeps, it seems that she has teething coinciding with a growth spurt so feeding is good for both! When she’s not screaming she’s sleeping. I bought her a baby carrier today to strap to the front of me because she seems to quiet down when I carry her so I’ll wear it around and see how she goes! It might be worth getting one if Everly is getting more alert and curious too like Emily as she doesn’t want to sit or lay down anymore! (unless you laready have one) I got mine off Ebay for $16.00

Couldn’t you hang those toys just a 1/2 inch lower for her? Poor precious thing, working SO hard and almost getting it…
Seriously, she was getting a good workout wasn’t she? I remember reading somewhere that if adults moved like babies do, they’d work off about 2000 calories an hour. I can believe it, but then I’d like to see an adult try it too!
