The Renters and The Slumlords return.

All the sudden my blog is getting search traffic from people searching our old “slumlord’s” names. This winter word got around that one of their former tenants filed a lawsuit against them over a lead paint issue. You can read about it here. I had several people stumble upon my blog searching for our landlord back when we were still in the rental house and I was blogging about them. Now that we are out of there and not talking about them anymore I am curious about what is making people buzz about our former slumlords. Wonder if it is more lawsuits…

All kinds of bathroom happenings up in here.

First it was N dropping a huge helping of poop on the bathroom floor as we both were doing the “Hurry! Baby has a poop coming” chaos. We simultaneously undressed her, got the diaper off and he was holding it (it had a slap of poop already in it… She was in mid poop while we were doing all this)… He lets the one side of the diaper fall and *splat* the poop rolls right out of the diaper and hits the floor. Nice!

Then I found E in her crib and partly naked after her nap. She found out how to un-Velcro her diaper and had one whole side flapping free as she rolled and flopped around her crib with herself exposed. Luckily no accidents took place while she was partially diaper free.

Baby runs the living room now.

Well, lets see… First Everly pulled all daddy’s papers, magazines and books that were piled on the coffee table down on to herself. Then she tore and scarfed down the corner of a newspaper page before I could stop her. She’s sure smart and is now getting physically quick at her mischief.

Next she managed to get the remote from the center of the coffee table somehow even though she’s not pulling up to standing and isn’t full on crawling yet. She’s pulled N’s laptop down on to herself and she has a fascination for laptop charging cables (in her mouth).

We’ve been working on baby proofing the living room and most of the major stuff is covered. The issue is altering our habits so that things like laptops, magazines and remotes aren’t left anywhere she can get them. We need to retrain ourselves, that is the doozie.
