Survived another weekend trip and another birthday.

We just got back from a jam-packed weekend trip. The last 24 hours were spent home catching up on household duties and trying to recoup.

I had a good birthday trip. The highlight was visiting the Cotton Babies store in St Louis, MO. They were having $1.00/ $5.00 used diapers on sale and were also allowing parents to set up tables and sell used diapers and various other natural baby items. We spoiled Tater, of course. Yep, went on a baby shopping spree for MY birthday.

My goal was to score some snap diapers to add to our collection. Since the weather is warming up, Everly isn’t always wearing pants and she’s been able to really gain access to those velcro closures on her diapers these days. So much that she’s getting the hang of undoing the velcro diaper closures. Thankfully I grabbed five pair of the BumGenius AIO organic snap diapers for cheap to add to our collection.

N also spotted several cool wooden puzzle toys that we bought E in addition to a pair of woolies for her to wear at night since it’s almost getting too warm for footies as bedtime attire. Woolies protect against nighttime diaper leaks and they are also a breathable clothing option for both winter and summer temperatures.

Oh, we got Everly a wooden WheelyBug-Bee too. We were talking about how she needs something that lets her pull up/ climb and experiment with the sitting to standing, something that isn’t a bendy, unstable foam playmat arm… Or a piece of hard furniture.

So far she likes rolling the WheelyBug back and fourth but nothing more. Oddly enough she’s most fascinated by all those things that aren’t kids toys… You know stuff like daddy’s newspaper. She loves reading or being read to.

The birthday weekend went fine, I did get to buy myself some clothes and a pair of summer shoes as a birthday treat. N and E also got me a Blue Girl rose bush for the backyard rose garden that I am excited about. If you don’t hear from me, I’ll be out in the yard with dirt covered hands and feet for a few days. Loving that spring is here!

Love the video of Everly eating! She's so cute! I like hearing your accent when you talk too! :) Wow - does she look so scholarly reading the newspaper! What a pose with her head on her hand like that! LOL! Sorry I missed your birthday - I hope it was awesome and I hope the whole year is full of good things for you, Talina!

That is an awesome photo!
