Before becoming a parent I really had no idea just how busy things could get. Sure back in my pre-parenthood days it felt busy and hectic but in comparison to how it is now I really had it easy back then.
Now things truly are insanely busy and I could probably benefit from some crack, ADD medication or anything to keep me going 100 miles a min because that is the only way I’ll be getting everything done. I am kidding I wont be medicating or doing drugs guys, just a joke okay?
In a nut shell, we aren’t closed on the house yet. We’ve been on the road on weekends for band performances, working all week long at our jobs in addition to parenting. The house, yard and pets are pretty neglected and we are trying to avoid coming down with the swine flu.
Yeah, two of my students are out with the swine flu this week. Just found that out and am not jazzed about it but we knew it was bound to happen (us being exposed to it).
We had our un-wedding anniversary (yep its sarcasm folks, we never had a wedding. Further explanation can be found here.) on Saturday. We even received an anniversary card and a phone call about the anniversary that isn’t. Basically we and did absolutely nothing because it wasn’t a day of celebration for us. Well, my students had a performance in Tennessee actually, so we did do something I guess- it just wasn’t celebratory.
Their performance went very well the kids had their best performance yet and made lots of good improvement. I was proud. Their last marching competition is this weekend then we switch gears for winter season and will begin learning a new show.
Can you believe it is November already? I sure can’t… and to make matters worse I just realized my baby girl is 5 months old and that blows my mind! Really where has the time gone?
Oh wait we’ve practically been awake and going nonstop for the last 5 months, that’s why its flown by. It’s been like one long super busy, never-ending day… Ah, the joys of parenthood ;-P

What a sweet photo. Are those tiny little ballerina feet I see? I had a red-headed ballerina… unbelievably klutzy (walking into walls klutzy) until she hit the studio or stage.
