Rounding up the stuff for our RV trip…

There are only a few weeks left before we load the RV with our animals, ourselves and begin our trek across 6 states! These days we have been getting in our travel preparation mind set.

We’re thinking about what we’ll need to have in the RV during the trip, what we won’t want to have in the RV and what we’ll need to get for the RV. My mom is especially excited about browsing the “fun RV accessories” in stores. She is looking for fun cup holders, blankets and other organizational things we can get to make our trip more comfortable and enjoyable.

FabGrandma (my RV expert blog buddy) warned us of the insane costs of items marketed “for the RV” and instead advised that we just look at regular products that will work for the RV as opposed to specifically marketed RV products. This advice actually helped me find the Cabin Cuddler online.

It’s not specifically marketed for RV travel, actually it is marketed for Airline travel but I am getting us some for the RV anyway!

I know, you are dying to know why… Well, you see my mom and I both have leg circulation issues, we get really cold after sitting for extended amounts of time so we use blankets and layers of clothing to keep us toasty when we are sitting idle.

Now the last thing I want is bulky sleeping bags strewn about the RV taking up space while we’re on the road but the reality is we are going to be cold from sitting still so long.

If we have sleeping bags out during our driving hours the dog will have nowhere to walk, I’ll probably trip and split my head open and a cat could even pee of the excess sleeping bag that will be overflowing from the seats and that would NOT be a good thing my friends!

I want to avoid the madness of sleeping bag excess but we’re just going to need blankets while were are on the road, that is the bottom line. So when I found the Cabin Cuddler I was very happy about the lightweight, compact design.

Then I also learned about the nifty little “foot pocket” that keeps your feet cozy and the inflatable pillow, I was sold on the idea. Plus when you are done with it all you have to do is un-inflate the pillow and fold the blanket up, both fit in a convenient little nylon carry tote. Pretty nifty huh?

These are going to take up way less space in the RV and my mom and brother will even be able to use them on the plane when they fly home. This is a fun product idea I know my mom will like!

After discovering this product online I just knew I had to have one but wouldn’t it also be cool to have them sponsor the post I was already going to write about my nifty product find? So, I wrote them and begged them to sponsor my post and what do ya know… They did!
