We always got an "un-birthday" cake from the bakery August, and one in February, so we could celebrate the "un-birthday" months. I have nothing for my son's half birthday (yes, we celebrate half birthdays. I'm a dork) and he has requested a cake. I don't have time to run around and get him a cake, though. Plus, it's a half birthday--fun to celebrate as something small and kitchy, but we never go all out. I DO, however, have kosher for passover cake flour that my mom sent us during Passover, but we never used (really? Cake flour? Could you have found anything else I use less often?). So I have everything needed to make this. My kids don't usually get chocolate, but I have good cocoa powder, so I may make an exception. THANK YOU. I really can't thank you enough.
