Not so wordless wednesday: Everly is 13 weeks old!

On Monday we had Everly’s 3 month checkup and learned just how advanced she really is. Here is an update:

First, she’s still gaining weight like a champ. Exclusive breastfeeding is doing her just fine! She’s 12.4 pounds now, both her head and overall length have increased by an inch too! She’s outgrown the 0-3 month clothes and is wearing the 3-6 month stuff now.

She’s also super strong! She is grabbing for things and enjoys propped sitting time over all else. She’ll sit on my lap and just look all around. She is also quite the chatter box these days, we are enjoying her baby talk. It’s so darn cute.

Now that she’s able to roll over getting her tummy time in is a struggle, she protests it and even rolls her self over to cut it short. Hopefully this doesn’t delay her crawling. She’s got some good core muscles though, her neck, back and tummy are very strong. Soon she’ll be sitting up on her own!

We also learned that her first tooth is coming in! She’s been a bit more fussy than normal and we got some ambisol to help her with the gum pain. All in all she’s been fairly easy and happy these days. She’s doing amazing, see:

We’ve been on the go so much that I am resorting to using my phone to snap photos of her from day to day. These were taken on Friday, right before our weekend in Murray, KY (that I am blogging about tomorrow).

We are also pretty jazzed to have a photography session booked for next weekend with this photographer. We are trying to capture Everly’s newborn stage in portraits before she’s outgrown it all together. Having my photo taken isn’t my favorite thing though, I always look bad.

Shameless self promotion:
I have until the end of the month to get as many comments on this post as possible, I am trying to win another contest. If you have time head over and share your two cents.

p.s. 13 weeks!!!! I can't believe it. And look how sweet she is!

Mack breastfed exclusively for over 9.5 months and he was SO HEALTHY!!!

REALLY!!! Don't stress yourself over whether she crawls sooner rather than later.... the sooner she crawls, the sooner you lose your ability to run to the bathroom for 5 seconds without worrying she'll get into trouble. After Wynnie--who we wanted to crawl as soon as possible-- we learned to let Mack take his sweeeeeeet time.... that meant a few more weeks of sanity for us! She'll do it... crawling early does not make for an Ivy League kiddo!!! It makes for a crazy mommy, trying to keep baby gates up to keep babies out of dangerous places.

What a cutie! I love that you are a cloth diaper Mom and breast feeding your little one. I just had a granddaughter and what a joy she is to our family. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos of E.

She is beautiful! She weighs the same as my six month old! (But I think mine is just going to be built smaller, like her Daddy...definitely not like me! lol) Teething is no fun but if you can find something that helps that's always good. I always think I look bad in pictures too - but the kids photograph great! :)

Don't worry, she'll crawl just fine. And get into everything! And then she will get taller and stand and get into everything else :-)

Precious pictures! Can't blame Everly one bit for not wanting to be on her tummy. She's more comfortable on her back and can see everything around her so much better! Don't worry about the lack of tummy time delaying her crawling, she looks very strong. Colten hated being on his stomach, I'm talking blood curdling screams for me to rescue him and flip him over on his back. He crawled for a while and was walking on his own by 10 months!!!

Ohhh she is just way tooo cute! I see N in her now, too... and still bald for the most part! Love those redheads! I had to tape a bow to my oldest's head for her first birthday party! Thank you thank you for sharing these priceless shots of her!
