Here is the show the people across from the pond put on tonight. At about the five min. mark you’ll see how we just escaped being shot with fireworks. N shot this first video:

Here is the video I shot of the same experience:

Can you believe the whole time that madness was going on over our house (I mean shells were literally falling on to our roof) Miss Everly was sound asleep?

Glad to see she wasn't fussed!

Just wait for the 2nd video guys! The first one N recorded from a phone. The 2nd one I recorded with the real camera. Better video quality and I didn't duck and run when the fireworks came for us like he did. LOL.

Adding the video shortly. It's uploading now.

I am laughing at all your commentary! I kept wondering (while this display was going on) why we would need to go to the river or buy our own when we have this going on in our neighborhood! We were outside for a while until Chipper started flipping out. Fortunately, our boys slept through it too.

I know huh? We probably said something offensive like every 2 seconds huh? Probably should have muted the video or something but what is the fun in that?

That is CRAZY!!! I am thankful she slept through it...it may have been scary for her if she was awake. My kids didn't really care for the noise. But I *think* things are finally starting to quiet down. We have some neighbors who just moved in a few days ago (into our formerly VERY quiet dead end, mostly elderly neighborhood). They decided to take their fireworks to the street rather than their yard and it sounded like stuff was raining down all over. My only consolation is that I can probably bet the elderly neighbors will make a fuss so we won't have to once daylight comes and they see all the firework debris littered in *their* yard. Ugh. I guess I am not much fun, eh? Glad you guys are okay and baby E is still sleeping!

Ha! We weren't much fun either. I mean on Friday night when this madness began I was pissed it was so loud. I was gonna hurt someone if the damn partying and fireworks woke my kid. Luckily she's not waking over the insanity so I lightened up a tad. I understand doing it on the 4th of July but when did it become a week long thing? This stuff has been going on since the week started.
