Some of the things that come through the freecycle list are entertaining. The things people ask for and the things people are giving away aren’t the only things to laugh at, often times it is the spelling and grammar of the posts or just the way they read that cracks us up.

Like the person who asked for a “will barrow” instead of a wheelbarrow and so on.

Today, the joke was on me. Here is the post:

Offer: 7 & 1/2 foot Barrington Spruce Christmas Tree- west side of Evansville

I am narrating the post to N, “It is older, but good old tree. It is in its box… So someone already dug it up and boxed it but how is someone going to hoist it up in to a truck and haul it across town?”

N looks at me funny and says, “pretty sure it’s artificial babe.”

I respond, by bursting in to laughter. I thought they meant it was a tree like this:

Instead it is probably a tree like this:

My bad. Was good for a tear-jerking laugh session though.
