It is mid October already? My baby girl is 4 months old today!

Last week it rained constantly and it looks like we are in store for another week of rain starting tonight. The temperatures have dropped here and it’s totally feeling like fall! Our tomato and zucchini plants have died back and the garden is looking bare these days.

With the cooler temperatures comes the thoughts of impending winter. I am not gonna lie, I am pretty excited for Tater’s first Christmas. This holiday season is going to be a blast for us now that we have a daughter to spoil.

After the holidays we are packing our bags and flying back to Arizona to visit everyone. The main reason we are making the trip is to pick up our Nissan that we had to leave behind when we moved. We’ve saved enough to pay for it’s new engine and now we are heading back to get it.

It will be Everly’s first big trip and everyone back in Arizona is stoked to visit with her.

Speaking of little Everly, she is 4 months old today and is just growing like a weed! She’s rolling over, holding her head up, squirming all around the floor and is now getting very vocal.

Her little personality is really beginning to shine through now too! She starts talking and carrying on like crazy when she’s happy. Yesterday during the marching bands final run through she was squealing and cooing in excitement while we watched them.

She’s also getting a handle on expressing her dislike and discomfort too. Like when she’s nursing and I have to take her off she whines about it. When she’s ready to be awake in the mornings she talks and hollers until we come to get her. She’ll probably be eating solids and sitting up by Christmas and it’s just so crazy for us to think about!

She’s still teething like crazy and it makes her very mad some days. Here she was insistent on cramming both of her hands in her mouth to help with the pain or whatever.

I weighed her on the Wii Fit to see just how much she’s grown in a month.

The Wii says she’s a big girl, weighing in at 13 lbs.

I just love that Halloween outfit! She's getting so big. I love it when their personalities start to develop...its such a fun time.

My family all lives out on the East Coast. The last time I saw them was last November. Its hard to be away from family. I always feel like my kids are missing out on family things.

If you feel she's ready, you can start feeding her the Single Grain Rice Cereal for babies and when she does good with that, start the Stage 1 foods. The cereal you can also mix in with your breast milk in a bowl or in a bottle too and feed her. It will fill her up more , which in return can cause her to sleep a little longer at nights and naps. My family and friends still haven't had the chance to meet Riley yet so I am hoping to get out to AZ at some point after we move the end of this year. Everly is so cute :)

I think I am nearly as excited to see E as your mom.... maybe :-) But I am VERY stoked to be able to give her a hug!
