I should make a hair doll or something…

When you are pregnant they tell you about how you’ll stretch, swell, bleed and even tear bringing your baby in to the world. They don’t tell you about all the fun things you have to expect from your body once the baby has arrived…
The loose hangy skin is a treat in the first few days following labor, then you’ve got the belly darkening and maybe some stretch marks or extra pounds to drop… What really kills me is the excessive hair loss though!
Sure, I’ve got lots of extra hair so I am not fretting too much about the thinning strands. What bugs the crap out of me is being tangled in stray hairs. They cover my carpets and floors and are all over the bed, my clothes and are even getting tangled around my fingers and nipples.
Yep, was breastfeeding E the other day I spotted a hair all wrapped around my freaking nipple. It could be a problem… What if it got all tight it could cut off circulation or something? My daughter could choke! It would be like a kiddo hairball.
N has to pull clumps of hair from the tub drain. I am brushing my hair and cleaning out the brush several times a day to cut down on the loose hairs. I’ve been vacuuming, sweeping and trying to keep the loose hairs under control. No matter how hard I try they are still falling out faster than I can clean them up. It’s super annoying!

Why didn’t anyone warn me and suggest I shave my head?
I can relate to hair falling out and thinning, but not in relation to childbirth! I had thick healthy hair until I bariatric surgery. After that the hair on the top of my head has thinned alarmingly. My youngest child was 10 years old at the time.
That was bad until I had radiation for a brain tumor and had a softball sized complete bald spot on the back of my head. I learned to HATE hats.
While I’m mostly sympathetic to the stress pregnancy, childbirth, and child raising has on one’s body… you ain’t gettin’ no sympathy on the hair loss problem!!!

LOL, i just want to shave it all off and be done with it. It’s easier that way. Either stay attached or don’t… No in between please!
