I am an auntie and the house is dirty.

November 29th, 2007

I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone that Hazel Renee Norris, my niece, was born early this morning. We are all very thrilled and I can’t wait to see her this weekend! Although I was supposed to have a baby first (I was the first born so I am supposed to be the first to do everything in my family…) my brother beat me to parenthood. I am sure he is thrilled to be the first and he is also very proud to be a daddy- just in time for Christmas too!

Oh, for those of you that were interested in my sweater purse pattern, I finally scanned it and got it uploaded to the blog today. Visit the purse instructions post and you will see a link to the pattern. Enjoy!

Well, I really need to go try to clean up the house. With my craft show this Saturday I have an explosion of craft junk everywhere in addition to the everyday living messes that I really need to clean up! Wish me luck!

Hi! Just wanted to return the web visit. Congratulations on becoming an Auntie! Now we have that in common! I did reply to your comment at my site and was perusing a little of your site as well. I liked your post about Black Friday shopping and how people really do get quite rude. I did a similar, humorous post about why I Hate the Holidays not long ago. Anyway, your purse and craftiness are pretty neat. I’ll be back to see what things you are up to!

Congratulations on becoming an Auntie. I recently became one also. My brother and sister in law adopted a cute little boy a little over four months ago. He’s now four months old. I’m the oldest also but I do have a four year old daughter.

    Congratulations!

That would make Hazel a Sagittarian, if you believe in that sort of thing!

    For the record:

With Jupiter as its ruler, Sagittarian energy reflects the benign and regal aspects of that planet, in typical out-going fiery ways. They are optimistic, confident and positive people. The sign is concerned with wisdom, freedom and exploration. But as with Jupiter himself, this easy-going positivity can turn into an imperiousness, impatience, or recklessness. A bright, futuristic, impractical energy.
