Heard it through the grapevine…

Yeah, remember that job issue I was talking about? It’s no longer an issue because they terminated the contract. I am not naming any names (and would appreciate it of you refrained from doing so also) because of legal concerns, but I wanted to confirm to those of you that have heard through the grapevine…

It is true. Contract is terminated. Moved all the way out here for a contract and an opportunity that was essentially “gone back on” for one reason or another. One head honcho moved on (the one that initiated the agreement), the new head honcho drafted a signed letter and had his minion present it Friday.

No meeting with HR, no face to face with the big man and no regard for anything but the company’s bottom line. Insulting? Yep but not really that shocking because we already had a read on the people involved, we knew they weren’t particularly goodhearted. And it is a cut-throat business…

So, we have one less thing to deal with. Crappy job situation is settled! New job (or unemployment) here we come. We do know we can’t leave here for a few years. Since we bought a house and got the home buyers tax money…

So, Evansville isn’t rid of us just yet.  Bet that chaps some asses huh? Hope nobody got their hopes up about us leaving, though I am sure the thought crossed their minds…

Too bad, so sad…

Funny thing is our daughter is very intuitive. Last night before the news was broken to us she was messing around with these letters…

Kind of sums it all up doesn’t it?

Well that makes me sad and angry but I am glad you guys are staying in Eville!

Oh T., I am so sorry. I understand your feelings all too well. I wish I had some great words of wisdom, other than this just totally sucks ass, but alas, I don't because I'm in the same boat with you. So, I'll paddle for the first little bit and how 'bout you paddle next and together we will get across this river of shit, LOL :)

Ugh! Well, on to the new ventures this crazy life will take you on. I'll admit my first thought was...Maybe they will move back! But, I understand. Love ya both

Awww hun. That's terrible, so terrible.

There's always a spanner thrown into the wroks isn't there?

I swear the little ones pick up on these things.

I have always found that when one door shuts, a BETTER one opens! The move that you made gave you so many good things... E is the BEST one of all :-). N is awesome and something else BETTER is waiting for you all...

Dam, I am sorry to hear this news. Just when I thought you might have a complaint about the station not holding up ther end of the contract. This is when you find out what realy was in the contract. I have personaly got my self into some crapy contracts. If that is what it turns out to be, it will be an education on what not to do.

Do not feel tied down because of the Tax credit on your home. The goverment may be willing to spred out any paybacks, do to the economy.

Deep breath, good breakfast. Call your Love ones. GJ
