We've had good luck with Kiddie Kandids and they offer various freebies at each milestone in a baby's life (i.e. 1 year bday = free 8x10) You can choose backgrounds, props, poses, etc. and see the pictures right after they're taken. Since most locations are inside a mall, they have longer hours, weekend appointments, and there's always a photographer there to take your pics!! Hope this helps... and I hope 3rd time's a charm. Also you can use it out of state and have immediate family members in photos too for no fee, so when you go to AZ you could take a nice big family photo too, I think its a great investment and there are always special offers to get the biggest bang for your buck.
