Friday Phone Dump #1
I am following the trend of other bloggers and starting up a Friday Phone Dump here on the blog. It gives an interesting look at how the week shaped up, without so many words (cause face it who has time for those?). Really though, it is fun for me to see how the week has...

From the trenches at 6 weeks postpartum
We’ve hardly begun to settle in to a routine again since the birth of Adalyn and now it is about time to start transitioning the homestead in preparation for the colder months. It is not surprising but the last six weeks have basically flown by, fall totally crept up and surprised us. It was the...

Adalyn’s Birth Video: If you missed the live #twitterbirth now you can watch the recording
It’s taken five weeks thanks to the crappy video editing program and the general demands of parenting a newborn but I am relived to say… The Live Streamed Birth Video Archive is Live You can view it here, in three parts… Initially I had just hoped to have the archived live stream footage saved immediately...

How to publish a post without the BlogHer Tune-In Bar: Anyone can do it.
Or… How to create a custom template file for single post pages. It happen to me, I got the dreaded email from a BlogHer team member about a sponsored post that violated the agreement. Doh!! I am a violator, but not intentionally. I violated because I am an idiot basically. You see, my baby only...

A case of the mondays… So I just write a semi-witty update post.
The photo pretty much sums things up doesn’t it? Seriously, though. We are doing well, tired but that is nothing earth-shattering right? Adalyn is 3 weeks old and throwing us for a loop poop wise. I shall not bore you with poop details. Ask if you want to know and I’ll bore away though. Everly...

Week one as a family of four has passed. Everyone survived!
Yesterday marked the conclusion of Adalyn’s first week of life. We are back home and getting back to the family routine with Nathan back to work. Adalyn is becoming more and more of a presence in the house as her newborn, likely jaundice induced sleepiness wears off. Just yesterday morning she grunted for a feed...

Wordless Wednesday: Two Sisters
Okay, so it’s not a totally “wordless” post… I am long winded. Here are the girls just a day after Adalyn’s birth. Everly is quite the proud sister, she lovingly looks after Adalyn and is surprisingly very good about giving her space and not squishing her. Now if Adalyn would only have some more awake...

Five Days Postpartum: New life as a family of four
Five days ago my labor started, actually it was more like six days ago but I didn’t have much real progress on that first day. Adalyn is now four days old and we are seeming to kind of already be in a nice groove. It is really odd and unexpected actually. We’ve been fully anticipating...
