Better pack those emergency bags: 35 weeks pregnant

At 35 weeks pregnant it is probably a good idea to have those bags pack for labor huh? Sadly I’ve not really put in much effort or thought toward this task.
Given all the hoopla about “going in to labor early and much quicker with baby #2″ I figured it might be wise to focus on getting those emergency bags packed. We don’t begin baby watch 2011 at The Farm until the 2nd week of August, a month from now, but in the case of emergencies…
if we needed to rush out to The Farm for an early labor, getting things together while in the throes of early labor isn’t gonna happen. I am more likely to have the baby here while I am running about trying to pack Everly’s, mine and Nathan’s items in addition to gathering new baby supplies and getting the homestead ready for our departure.
Yeah, I’d be that woman having her baby in the driveway or out in the garden while running about trying to get everything done before we head out the door.
With the hopes of preventing the above *fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen* possible scenario, I busted out my homebirth supply list from The Farm and was pleasantly surprised to see I’ve only really got the Hibiclens to buy still. Everything else needed is on hand from the last home birth I had.
So, now it is on to packing up some clothes and whatever else we can pack away in advance so we are as prepared as possible for this virtually unpredictable thing we are about to experience.
Can you believe there are just 5 weeks until Baby Sister is “full term”? If she’s on Everly’s schedule she could even be here as soon as 4 weeks. Eek!

Eek is right! and, exciting! Fingers crossed that baby doesn't make her entrance in the garden. ;)
