I should mention too that I have absolutely no interest in football. My children... well, it's somehow important to them. While they were here a few weeks ago, my granddaughter schooled me in appropriate ways to celebrate a touchdown saying... "Do it like this Nonna (raising both arms above her head) - and say TOUCHDOWN."

Her parents have been making her sit at the table until everyone is through eating for a long time, but that hasn't stopped her from trying to get down. This last visit, she'd tried asking to watch Sleeping Beauty, saying she "needed" to see a cartoon. And finally, when none of that or persistent whining worked, she said "But Daddy, I'm missing the game!"

I'm with Hyphen Mama - you are not a stay-at-home mom if you have a job that takes you outside the house 5 days a week. That you have a job you can take your baby too is a plus, but it's not the same as a stay-at-home.

You'll be struggling with her getting over-tired and whining for the next several years. Learn to enjoy it!!

While it never worked for me because I can't keep to a schedule, it's worked quite well for my daughter and granddaughter to have one... to the point that my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter will now sometimes put herself down for a nap. Blows my mind.

Honey, I think you can qualify yourself as a WORKING MOM! Stay-at-home moms aren't going to work 5 days a week. You're exhausted because you're working hard and managing your home and parenting your baby.

You're doing a great job.

And my kids are 6 and 3 and I've STILL never had a babysitter who wasn't a grandparent. It's the trust thing.
