Sorry about the cat. When I was at the end of my pregnancy with Seth, our cat started peeing all over anything and everything. When I was in the hospital, I wrapped Seth up in a certain blanket and at night Travis would take it home for the cat to smell. When we brought the baby home, we had no more kitty troubles.
